Anne Kavanagh heads Communications agency, Kavanagh Communications, the leading global communications agency specializing in Duty Free and Travel Retail and also one of the UK’s leading retail specialist agencies across domestic markets.

Duty Free experience includes global brand owners such as Diageo and Mars, retailers including Aelia and Lagardere Asia Pacific, World Duty Free and Aer Rianta. The agency also represented BAA airports in the UK for 15 years during which time the PR drive was to create pre-awareness of airport shopping with consumers before they travel.

Social media is now an integral part of all client programs and has great results in driving consumer engagement, footfall and conversion.

Anne’s personal view on social media is that to get into the minds of the modern consumer, you need to get onto their screens and share a conversation with them. From Tweets and RSS feeds to YouTube and Facebook, there’s a global conversation going on out there, and it almost certainly includes your brand, your airport, your store – it’s time for Travel Retail to join the conversation and make the most of this opportunity to connect with consumers and drive commercial performance.

The agency also supports clients in Travel Retail with crisis communications, tender submissions, company reports, employee communications and brand perception audits.
